It is a good idea for the whole family to become a part of the change, so you all can spend a longer and healthier life together. Exercise is also essential to maintaining a healthy body weight regardless of how old or young you are. Without exercising, diet alone isn’t going to get children in shape or get their life back on track. Children don’t need to go to the gym and run on the treadmill or anything but they do need to be more active. Instead of playing video games in their houses, children should be encouraged to go outside and play. They can play sports like soccer, football or even do activities such as going for walks with the family pet. Doing this a few times a week will help reverse the effects of child obesity.
Children tend to closely watch their parent’s actions and will copy what they see them doing.
